Portland Hub

Portland Hub is located within the Willington Care Village in Crook, County Durham. We offer up to 40 places to care for younger adults with learning and physical disabilities and older adults with physical frailty.

We promote individualised person-centred care in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, encouraging independence, choice and dignity throughout all that we do.

Glenys Thirkell, is the Registered Manager, and together with a strong team of experienced and trained staff, works throughout the day to ensure that our service user’s individual care needs are met with dignity and passion.

We have our own dedicated chef at Portland Hub, allowing us to cater for individual needs and preferences including specific cultural and religious dietary requirements.

Portland Hub offers car parking, Wi-Fi and provides a wide range of other services, such as a sensory room, home skills room and a full community activities programme which includes daily outings to local attractions, cafes and garden centres to name but a few.

We have excellent working relationships with local professionals (GPs, Nurses, Commissioners etc.) and have a strong reputation for providing good quality care to our residents.

Portland Hub is able to provide transport to and from your home and for all community-based activities.
