Elm Park Luxury Care Home with Nursing in Doncaster, Yorkshire
About Elm Park Care Home
Here at Elm Park Care Home, we’ve been operating since 2014 and during this short time have built a strong reputation in Doncaster, Yorkshire, as an affordable but luxurious residential complex for a variety of people – fitted with designer quality furnishings. We encourage independent living and a homely environment, providing the best quality of life possible to all our residents.
All our care is tailored to the individual needs of each resident, as we can organise appointments with doctors and dentists, as well as deliver the appropriate medicines to residents who need them. We can cater to a variety of needs.
Our food menus are also incredibly popular, as not only do we provide nutritious food, we also take the time to make old favourites for the residents, bringing back memories and making them feel more at home. Visitors can drop by whenever they like, but we do recommend avoiding meal times as this can disrupt other residents during their meal. For residents looking to socialise or be entertained, we have a variety of facilities, such as:
Fully equipped bar
Cinema
Purpose-built cafe
Beauty salon
Landscaped gardens
The dignity, happiness and well-being of our residents is paramount. There are no rigid routines, people have just the same choice and control over their lives that they had before coming to live with us.
Our residents spend their days just how they choose – they decide what time they get up and go to bed, what they wear, what food they eat and any social activities they want to take part in.
Good Food:
Freshly cooked, tasty food with plenty of choice is one of our specialities. As we get older, good food becomes increasingly important so our in-house chef makes sure our meals are tempting, healthy and nutritious, and that we cater for speciality or medically advised diets. And there is always someone on hand to offer assistance to those who need it.
We often incorporate family recipes or particular favourites into our menus. There’s nothing like a pan of corned beef hash or a plate of eggy bread served up to bring back good memories or tempt someone’s appetite.
A typical day’s menu might be:
Breakfast:
A choice of cereals or porridge, full cooked breakfast, toast and preserves
Lunch:
Roast beef with homemade horseradish sauce,
Yorkshire puddings, roast or mashed potatoes, red cabbage and Brussel sprouts
Followed by a raspberry, cream and meringue dessert
Dinner:
Chicken soup with warm bread rolls
assorted sandwiches
vol-au-vents with prawn mayonnaise
pork pies
a variety of savouries
Snacks and drinks are available between meals for anyone feeling peckish, either in the resident’s own room or in the cafe or bar.
Activities
Each of our care homes has a dedicated activities co-ordinator who works with a team made up of residents, families and staff to provide stimulating, enjoyable activities throughout the year.
