The Coppice in Oldham is a 44-bed nursing home specialising in Dementia and Nursing Care. It is renowned for its exceptional end-of-life support, as well as providing short term respite care to help families and loved ones take a break from their caring roles.
Led by Registered Manager Colette Grace RGN, our team comprises compassionate, caring staff who are experts in their field. They tailor their approach to suit the individual needs of each resident and promote independence where possible. Our in-house chef caters to the different dietary needs and preferences of our residents through a varied and nutritious menu.

The Coppice Nursing Home has maintained its ‘Excellent’ rating with the Oldham Local Authority Quality Framework for the 5th year in a row. Our excellent working relationships with local professionals (GPs, Nurses, Macmillan Nurses, Age UK Oldham, Commissioners and more) have established us as a trusted, respected care home throughout the local areas.
Facilities and activities
For residents, we have a full schedule of activities to stimulate their minds and bodies. We arrange regular outings to local attractions, cafes and garden centres to name just a few, as well as organising on-site hairdressing appointments for a pamper.
For families visiting their loved ones, we offer car parking, Wi-Fi and pet-friendly facilities. The Coppice Nursing Home has good transport links with regular buses that all stop within just a few minutes’ walk away from the care home. It is a 20 min bus journey into Oldham centre where there are plenty of eateries and shops in and around the Spindles Town Square shopping centre, as well as being home to the Oldham Coliseum Theatre and Gallery Oldham.
The care home is a short walking distance to the local Featherstall, Freehold and Butler Green residential areas. It is also just a 10 min walk to Werneth Park where there are beautiful gardens, stunning octagonal music rooms, a Grade II listed community centre and a bowling green.
The centre of Manchester is easily accessible via a 30 min tram journey. Here, there are lots of cafes, restaurants and shops to enjoy, as well as cultural places of interest such as Castlefield Gallery and the Royal Exchange.
