Registered Nurse RGN/RMN – Crossgate Kilmarnock
Having recently been inspected as good in all domains and our good reputation spreading, we are looking to add another member of staff to our nursing team.
You will be fully supported by our Home Manager and Deputy Manager and have the opportunity to develop in this role.
Comprised of four units, Crossgate Care Home is a purpose-built, 66-bed care home in Kilmarnock. The site includes large, enclosed gardens in which residents can relax and socialise.
Heather Taylor manages a team of nurses and care assistants – including three activity coordinators – providing 24-hour nursing care and a regular schedule of entertainment every day of the week. All the rooms come with a single en-suite, including a shower, giving residents their own space and privacy.
The team caters for a range of care types, including elderly care, dementia care, end of life care, nursing care, as well as caring for residents with head injury or other mental health issues.
A valid NMC Pin
A full understanding of person centered care planning processes
A background in care environments
Experience of leading, managing and mentoring a team
Ideally some experience of caring for older people
Good communication and organisation skills
Responsibilities of Registered Nurse RGN/RMN
Satisfying Residents wishes and best interests, in line with regulatory and legislative requirements
Maintaining accurate records and reports
Supervising, coaching and supporting your Colleagues to deliver their best
Ensuring that reports of ill health and requests for GP visits are followed up
Administering prescribed medicines
Ensuring that all Residents individual care plans are reviewed regularly
Responsible for the highest possible standard of care of all Residents in your area, whilst taking management responsibility for a shift as directed
