Activities at St John’s Wood Care Centre
We provide an eclectic range of activities and entertainment sessions for residents, from yoga groups and dancing for mobile residents to one-to-one sessions for those with limited mobility. On top of this, we have visits from local schools, various religious denominations, a masseuse and access to a hairdresser. Once a month we hold parties to actively engage residents and encourage socialising, helping everyone feel comfortable and at home.
Whether it’s quizzes, singing groups or simply reading, there is something for everyone at St John’s Wood Care Centre. For those looking for quiet surroundings, we have internal garden spaces as well as a sky roof garden which provides views of the surrounding borough.
On a monthly basis, we like to hold events for family to attend – this can be anything from tea dances to barbecues, depending on the weather. This helps to keep residents connected with family and provides plenty to look forward to.
Information for Visitors
Shops, transport links and the Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre are all within walking distance for those residents who pass an assessment. Visits to local amenities can be alone or accompanied by staff as appropriate to ensure the safety of all residents – trips out into the local area are arranged by the staff at least twice a month.
Our site features parking – with disabled access – however, space is limited and a parking pass can be obtained from our team in-house. We have a set visiting period between 10 am until 8 pm, but are happy to arrange for visits outside of this window at the manager’s discretion should it be needed.
