Acre Green - In remembrance of the late Mr. John Boldy
Residents their families and visitors to Acre Green Care Centre are enjoying a new water fountain within the courtyard. The Courtyard is situated in the centre of the Care Centre and is visible from some lounges, the main dining rooms and many residents’ bedrooms.
The Courtyard has been created into a peaceful calm area for residents and visitors to enjoy the beautiful plants and seasonal flowers. It’s an area where residents and families often spend time with each other. The Centre receives many comments about how many visitors enjoy accessing this facility.
Visitors have already commented on the improvement the fountain has brought, and looking forward to warmer weather to enjoy the area even more.
The fountain has been donated by the family of Mr. John Boldy. John had lived at Acre Green for years; he was well loved by many staff and other residents. He peacefully passed away peacefully on 9th November 2011. His family agree that John was very happy and settled at Acre Green. They were very happy by the care, support and service that they received.
The family expressed that this was their way of thanking everyone for the care they gave John. The beautiful fountain was put in place on 22nd January 2012. It will allow people who cared for John to remember him as he meant a lot.
